Critterville Self Pet Wash (formally Critterville Grooming) is a peaceful and quiet location to groom your dog. Whether you are looking to bring your pup in for a wash-and-dry or just a nail trim, Critterville provides you the equipment and facility for a variety of grooming options.  

Critterville is located in Waconia, Minnesota, nested just one block west of Scandia Road and Airport Road. It is owned and operated by Julie Chelman who has been in the animal field for 23 years. Although Critterville is a self pet wash, Julie is available to assist or answer any questions you may have during your visit. 

The wash area has its own entrance and is located on the far right side of Julie's home.

Appointments are available:

• 8am-5pm

• Monday-Friday

• Some evenings and Saturdays

Services & Pricing

$15 - Dogs 20 lbs and under

$20 - Dogs 20-100 lbs 

$25 - Dogs over 100 lbs

$15 - Nail trims available upon request

Families are encouraged to bring their kids to make it a family event. Treats are available for both dogs and kids! Pictures can also be taken.

Self Pet Wash

The tub is versatile and accommodating for toy breeds to large breed dogs. There is a ramp for larger and older dogs to walk right in.

Included in the washing price:

• Shampoo

  • Additional $5 - Specialty shampoo (medicated, oatmeal, flea & tick, etc.)

• Conditioner

• Drying- using a canine blow dryer

• Aprons

• Gloves

• Scrub Mitt

• Brush/Comb

• Ear Cleaning

• Anal Expression if needed

For those who are interested in learning how to groom your own dog, Julie has the experience, technique and equipment to teach you how to use the tools and go through the process properly. The guided grooming service is ongoing and not meant to be a one-time teaching session. Please call for guided grooming pricing or if you have any additional questions!
